The Protected Property contains mainly mixed grasses and remnant landscape plantings along with common coastal shrubs. The Protected Property sits within a private residential housing development and is directly adjacent to Rhode Island Sound.
Based on the examination of historic aerial photography, it appears that the Protected Property had a long history of agricultural use, dating back to at least 1939. Aerial photography from 1952 indicates continued agricultural use.
